The academic year 2023-24 at Guru Tegh Bahadur Public School, Durgapur, was marked by significant achievements across various domains. In December 2003, the CBSE Regional Science Exhibition took place in Kolkata at GD Goenka Public School, Dakshineswar, focusing on agriculture. Students Satadru Roy and Syed Mohammad Aman represented our school. This exhibition, held at the higher secondary level, fosters scientific curiosity and is highly relevant given India's agricultural base, aiming to benefit farmers through innovative projects.
Poulomi Saha of Class X, exhibited her outstanding and unique writing skills at the Bengali essay writing competition organized by Sri Aurobindo Society, Durgapur and bagged 3rd position.
Our student also participated at the Painting Competition, as a part of Pariksha pe Charcha, 2024 organized by Kendriya Vidyalaya CRPF, Durgapur.
Bulletin Boards and various activities were organized in order to commemorate the Quit India Movement as well as Kargil Vijay Diwas in order to sensitized the young minds about our struggle for independence and the supreme sacrifice made by our soldiers to protect the state of independence of our country.
At the Inter School Volleyball championship, organized by Zoom International, our GTBPS Under-16 boys team was titled the runner-up. At Ukhra A.G. Church School, our under 16 team also secured the runner-up position.
At the Sahodaya Volleyball Competition held at Guru Tegh Bahadur Public School, Durgapur, students Poonam Kumari, Sneha Singh, and Nishika Singh, all from Class 10, represented our school.
Our school also participated in the Sub-Division Football Competition Bidhannagar. Our extraordinary team of girls comprising of Megha Kumari (Class 9), Nishika Singh (Class 10), Tanvi Lal (Class 9), Sagnika Ghosh (Class 10), Suchanda Ghosh (Class 9), Garima Singh (Class 9), Anushka Roy (Class 9), and Aditi Roy (Class 10) showed commendable performance
Ritabrata Roy Nandi and Saumya Mahakaul achieved notable success last year in Class X in the field of Cricket. They have showcased exemplary performance in their respective genres. Our school is really proud to nurture these young sportsmen and wishes them a bright future.
